The CAP SAN DIEGO has been lying in the Schwentine estuary in front of the Kiel pain clinic for a few days. She is the largest seaworthy museum cargo ship in the world. Its elegant silhouette is otherwise part of the Hamburg harbor panorama like the Speicherstadt and the Michel. Since the end of the Kiel Week, it has been perfecting the view from the Kiel Pain Clinic of the cityscape, town hall tower and Schleswig-Holstein state parliament.

The CAP SAN DIEGO is the last remaining ship in a series of six fast general cargo ships. She was built in 1961/62 for the Hamburg Süd shipping company. Until the end of 1981 she traveled mainly to South America. The CAP SAN DIEGO has been a museum ship since 1988. In 2003 it became a maritime monument and floating hotel. On July 12th we go back to Hamburg.

Two tugs pull the Cap San Diego backwards out of the Schwentine. The film shows pictures from the webcam of the Kiel Pain Clinic from the departure on July 12th, 2013 at 11 a.m. to dream along...
