In the FAZ study “Germany's Best Hospitals”, the Kiel Pain Clinic takes the top position nationwide among specialized inpatient pain therapy clinics. Based on all around 2,000 hospitals in Germany, it was placed among the 10 best clinics nationwide, regardless of specialty. In Schleswig-Holstein, the Kiel Pain Clinic is in the top position in a nationwide comparison of all hospitals. The FAZ Institute of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Favoritenkontor have determined the best hospitals in Germany in an extensive study. In addition to 2,567 quality reports, patient opinions were also evaluated and assigned to the individual hospitals.
When awarding the award, particular attention was paid to the criteria of quality reports from the hospitals of the Joint Federal Committee (G-BA), service, quality of care, medical competence and equipment. The award is an expression of the high standards of care and continuous improvement and development of therapy offerings in research and practice. “This top performance is only possible thanks to the excellent cooperation and commitment of the entire team at the Kiel Pain Clinic. I would like to thank all colleagues for their commitment,” emphasizes the head physician at the Kiel Pain Clinic, Prof. Dr. Hartmut Göbel.
Clinics nationwide were evaluated by the FAZ Institute. It belongs to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung publishing group. For the “Germany’s Best Hospitals” certificate, the institute uses a wide range of data on around 2,000 hospitals in Germany. This data is systematically evaluated scientifically. The study was scientifically supported by the International School of Management (ESM).
