Assistant physician

and offer a very interesting and varied clinical role in an interdisciplinary team with the opportunity for further training in neurology (2 years) and obtaining the additional qualification in special pain therapy (1 year). The position is particularly well-suited for balancing family and career.

  • Part-time work is possible and can be individually agreed upon.
  • Thorough training is provided, making the job very suitable for both recent graduates and those returning to the workforce.
  • No overtime is required.
  • Shorter training periods are also possible.
  • The remuneration is calculated according to the MB Tariff Uni.

This position is also attractive for those starting their careers. Pain therapy is of central importance throughout a physician's professional life. Therefore, this role is also suitable for career orientation and aspiring to a clinical career. A further training period in this area will sustainably enhance professional competence and qualifications in all clinical and theoretical disciplines. The Kiel Pain Clinic was founded in 1997 and has since significantly influenced patient care in pain therapy through innovative treatment approaches. Our treatment focus is on chronic neurological pain disorders, particularly migraine and chronic headache disorders. The clinic has established itself as a nationally and internationally important reference center in these areas. In our clinic and outpatient pain center, we have already treated more than 120,000 outpatients and 40,000 inpatients from all over Germany and abroad. The treatment concept has received numerous awards, including first prize for the best integrated care concept in Germany. The clinic is a Center of Excellence of the German Society for Pain Medicine.

Colleagues with a scientific interest have the opportunity to participate in research projects and to write a medical dissertation. Part-time participation in the university's Master's program "Master of Migraine and Headache Medicine" is also possible.
