More than 70 percent of all Germans suffer from headaches; 900,000 people complain of daily migraine attacks, and 100,000 of them are so ill that they cannot work. This is precisely the area of expertise of Professor Hartmut Göbel, a neurologist, headache specialist, and head of the Kiel Pain Clinic.
For his dedication to the care of migraine and headache patients, he has recently been awarded this year's German Pain Prize, in addition to numerous national and international accolades. Professor Göbel has led numerous clinical studies and authored more than 450 publications, including on new therapies for migraines and headaches.
