Prof. Dr. Göbel is the head of the Kiel Regional Pain Center of the German Society for Pain Therapy (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Schmerztherapie e.V.) . The regional pain centers are also contact points for all questions regarding pain therapy care.

Pain conferenceAll regional pain centers hold interdisciplinary pain conferences in an open forum for therapists, to which all clinical specialties (physicians, psychologists, physiotherapists, etc.) are welcome. These conferences provide a forum for presenting patients with problematic chronic pain conditions and discussing their treatment. This offers numerous opportunities for collaboration with colleagues interested in pain therapy and those specializing in algology.

Physicians can present their patients at the public interdisciplinary pain conferences of the pain clinic. These take place Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in the conference room of the Kiel Pain Clinic.
Appointments can be arranged by email or fax.

In addition to the aforementioned conferences, a public interdisciplinary pain conference with a presentation on a specific topic is held regularly on a monthly basis . Interested colleagues are cordially invited. Please register your participation by email or fax.

The interdisciplinary event is certified by the Schleswig-Holstein Medical Association with 3 continuing education credits (Category C) . It is also certified by the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians for specialized pain therapy.
