Headaches are a widespread ailment. 54 million people in Germany are affected. Dr. Heinz-Wilhelm Esser meets with headache patients. During his visit to the Kiel Pain Clinic, he learns about the causes of migraines and headaches, experiences the sensations of those affected through an aura simulation, and has the processes that occur in the body during a headache explained to him. A patient with hemicrania continua gives Dr. Esser insights into a particularly severe form of the 367 known headache disorders.
