In the FAZ study "Germany's Best Hospitals," the Kiel Pain Clinic holds the top position nationwide among specialized inpatient pain therapy clinics. Based on all approximately 2,000 hospitals in Germany, it was ranked among the top 10 clinics nationwide, regardless of specialty. Within Schleswig-Holstein, the Kiel Pain Clinic holds the top position in the state-wide comparison of all hospitals. The FAZ Institute of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Faktorenkontor conducted a comprehensive study to determine Germany's best hospitals. This involved evaluating 2,567 quality reports as well as patient feedback, which was then assigned to the individual hospitals.
Particular emphasis in awarding the prize was placed on the criteria of quality reports from the clinics of the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA), service, quality of care, medical expertise, and facilities. The award recognizes the high standards of care and the continuous improvement and development of treatment options in research and practice. "This outstanding achievement is only possible thanks to the excellent collaboration and dedication of the entire team at the Kiel Pain Clinic. I sincerely thank all my colleagues for their commitment," emphasizes the Chief Physician of the Kiel Pain Clinic, Prof. Dr. Hartmut Göbel.
Hospitals across Germany were evaluated by the FAZ Institute, part of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung publishing group. For its "Germany's Best Hospitals" certification, the institute draws on a wide range of data from approximately 2,000 hospitals in Germany. This data is systematically analyzed using scientific methods. The study was scientifically supervised by the International School of Management (ESM).
