Deputy administrative manager (m/f/d) wanted for pain clinic Kiel

As part of a planned succession, we are seeking a highly motivated and professional leader to fill the position of Deputy Head of Administration (m/f/d) . The current Head of Administration will be retiring in the coming years. During this time, you will have the opportunity to gain comprehensive experience and training, with the prospect of subsequently assuming the role of Head of Administration.

The Kiel Pain Clinic was founded in 1997 as a scientific model project at Kiel University Hospital by Prof. Dr. Hartmut Göbel. Today, we operate as a nationwide center for multimodal pain therapy, collaborating with regional pain therapists in private practices and hospitals through coordinated treatment plans. We treat over 1,800 patients annually from all over Germany. Since 2013, we have been included in the hospital plan and offer inpatient acute treatment for chronic pain in accordance with Sections 108 No. 3 and 109 of the German Social Code, Book V (SGB V). The clinic specializes in neurological and behavioral medicine treatment methods for pain affecting the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems, as well as the muscles. Through selective contracts with innovative health insurance companies, we ensure comprehensive care. Our goal is to directly benefit patients by making globally available knowledge on the treatment of chronic pain available to them. Furthermore, we are actively involved in research on neurological pain disorders, migraines, and other headaches to further improve future treatments.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling appointments and administrative support for our patients
  • Preparation of invoices for inpatient stays and review of incoming invoices
  • Preparation of cost estimates
  • Personnel matters
  • Ordering office supplies and negotiating prices
  • Creation of statistics and analyses
  • Medical controlling
  • Coordination of medical device testing
  • Preparation and participation in budget negotiations
  • Preparation of INEK reports
  • Negotiation of IV fees
  • Organization of year-end closing procedures
  • Creation and dispatch of GOÄ invoices
  • Booking of incoming payments and dunning process
  • Analysis of case and performance data

 Your profile:

  • Completed vocational training as a healthcare administrator or completed training with a relevant professional qualification, or comparable qualification with a focus on hospital management. Career changers with relevant practical management experience are also welcome to apply
  • Several years of professional experience in the healthcare sector
  • Good organizational skills and a high degree of personal responsibility
